This year the Great British Bark Off focuses on ‘embracing diversity, celebrating differences and building compassion’

We’re doing this with our incredible Bark Off mascot, Henry Wee Wheels!

We are thrilled to announce the return of the highly anticipated Great British Bark Off 2024! With over 1,000 schools and 280,000 children taking part so far, this year's event promises to be even more exciting.

Join us from 24 to 28 June for a fun-filled, barking bonanza of a week. Not only will you have a blast, but you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference by contributing to the welfare of our furry friends.

Mark your calendars and get ready for a barking good time!

Get involved with Bark Off and brighten up your school this June!

This year, our event is all about CELEBRATING DIFFERENCES and EMBRACING DIVERSITY. One of the key benefits of celebrating differences in schools is the promotion of tolerance and acceptance. By exposing pupils to various cultures, ethnicities, religions, and abilities, schools can cultivate an atmosphere where individuals appreciate and respect one another. This, in turn, helps to break down stereotypes, reduce prejudice, and build a foundation for a more harmonious society. With the help of a few, furry friends and one special, little guy in particular, we want to help your pupils to see that our uniqueness is what makes us special and that, by recognising the unique qualities in others, we can create a better, more understanding and compassionate world.

We live in a wonderfully diverse society. Our world is rich in a variety of people, cultures, faiths and beliefs, all of which should be celebrated…but are they? A recent study by leading education group Pearson, found that “4 in 5 teachers agreed that more could be done to celebrate diverse cultures, people and experiences in schools”. Celebrating differences and embracing diversity in schools is a fundamental aspect of fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Recognising and embracing the unique qualities, backgrounds, and perspectives of pupils contributes to a rich educational experience that prepares them for the diverse world they will navigate beyond the school walls. This is why we encourage you to join in so we can, together, celebrate differences and embrace diversity, to make this world a happier place to live in!
